Monash Agrees to 20% Government Budget Cut in Exchange For Rare Pokémon Cards

Plans for a 20% budget cut to universities have been a cause for a lot of controversy since the news leaked. Students especially have been vocal about the financial infringements on their education. However, it was recently leaked on social media that the deal was sweetened by the inclusion of rare trading cards from the popular anime series “Pokémon”.


“Look, it wasn’t a hard decision to make. Do you know how much these cards could hypothetically make in the trading card market?” justified the Vice-Chancellor via the Monash twitter handle. “This trade is a positive step towards our pride as a university and shows just how much we value individuality. I doubt there’s another card like this one in the world.”

Review: Reign of Kindo, Hold Out

When a song has the ability to transport you to a different place, or when it can give you a certain feeling; you know that it’s a ripper of a tune.


This is exactly what Reign of Kindo’s “Hold Out” from their 2008 album “Rhythm, Chord & Melody” achieves in its opening sequence, with its minimalistic styling and contrasting sounds. Their music is from the Jazz fusion genre, with emphasis on the rock aspects. Read more …


Double EP Review: Great Good Fine OK

Great Good Fine OK are one of the many bands out of America on the synth-pop scene and have released only two EPs; Body Diamond and 2M2H in 2013 and 2015 respectively.


The band consists of two dudes, Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman, and they debuted in 2013 with their hit “You’re The One For Me”. With smooth synth work and some seriously unique vibes, their songs carry the same level of polish alongside big name artists of the genre like Bastille and Lorde. Read more …
