No shows in schedule!
And we're back for another semester of wooden instruments, twang, and music to drink beer to. These are the songs you suffered through this week:
Amos Lee - Truth. From his 2009 album Last Days At The Lodge, a strophic, bluesic tune.
Mississippi Barry - D-Stroyer. Filthy, broken bottle blues from the Swamp Doo Aloha album
Bon Iver - Blood Bank. From the EP Blood Bank, which consists of tracks which didn't make the cut for Bon Hiver's 2009 album For Emma, Forever Ago.
This weeks feature album was Man, You Should Explode by Freo country-rockers The Kill Devil Hills.
Track 03 - I Don't Think This Shit Can Last Much Longer
Track 01 - It's Easy When You Don't Know How
Track 06 - Words From Robin To Batman
Charles Baby - Tremors of Love. A track I've had floating around for years on my iTunes, an early home recording made by the Belgravian folk song writer.
The Black Keys - Have Love Will Travel. A Richard Berry original from the late 50s, The Black Keys amplified this song as far as it would go for their 2003 album Thickfreakness.
The Justin Walshe Folk Machine - The Homecoming Shamboozle. A breakneck breakdown from the Western Australian folk group's sophomore album 'Walking To China'.
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Ole Man Trouble. Some seriously groovy blues rock from the 1992 Mo' Width album.
Ben Harper - Glory and Consequence, from his 1997 album The Will To Live.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Shuffle Your Feet. The leading track from their folk/country influenced 'Howl' album.
Thanks for tuning in this week, dear listeners. I'll catch you next week, 7pm to warm up your lonely Monday nights
