SHOW APPLICATIONS CLOSE AT 11.59PM ON SUNDAY MARCH 4TH, 2012. All applicants will be informed on the result of their application by email by Tuesday March 6th.
MANDATORY STUDIO TRAINING SESSIONS WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY MARCH 9TH AND SATURDAY MARCH 10TH AT MIDDAY, 2PM AND 4PM. Regardless of your radio experience, we require that all hosts and co-hosts attend a training session in our studios before you begin broadcasting. This is to ensure that you are comfortable and competent in using our equipment. As our system has undergone some changes over the summer break, this is also a requirement for past Radio Monash hosts. Please note that without attending a training session, we will be unable to grant you access to the broadcast studio.
SHOWS ARE SCHEDULED TO BEGIN ON MONDAY MARCH 12TH, i.e. Week 3 of Semester 1 at Monash. Hosts who are scheduled to broadcast on the evening of Thursday March 15th are free to choose whether to broadcast their show or attend the Radio Monash Season Launch Party at the Northcote Social Club.
THE SEASON WILL CONCLUDE ON JUNE 22ND, i.e. the last week of the Semester 1 exam period. While broadcasting through the exam period raises obvious difficulties, we thoroughly encourage you to continue broadcasting your show, recognising it as both a responsibility and an enjoyable regular activity to help keep you sane during the exam period. Hosts with impressive attendance records will also be highly favoured during the show application process for Semester 2.
